Being from a family of creatives whose motto was to produce not to consume was etched into Kyle from a very early age and being educated at home gave him many opportunities to work hard at his own creative pursuits.
In the early years, information was hard to find, there was no online content and only a few books and videos, so it was a lot of trial and error in the knife shop. Kyle is passionate to teach makers his more than fourteen years of experience.
“The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires.” We hope we can inspire you on your maker’s journey.

crazy how everyone skips the parts where he rambles or does anything cringe.
it's so beautiful
Gorgeous blade!... I'll give ya a hundred bucks for it! How 'bout it?
I was honestly thinking of a gun when you titled the video EDC, now I'm intrigued on cast iron glock receivers
Came for the sword. Stayed for the Missouri.
So they did this in the past WITHOUT any power tools huh…? How long would a sword of this level take, back in medieval ages?
you know the ytber is a twat when his title starts like that
Get back to work dude.
Knife crime is getting worse.
I used valerian steel so everyone can do the same.
I was able to really level up my making ability making this blade with Kyle's video.
I’m sorry, but if your last name Royer??😂
Yes👍🏻🔥⚔️
15lb hammer. Pull the other one. . Noone is swinging a 15pb hammer effectivkh unless driving. .now tell begginers a 2.5-3lb hammer is plenty wnough a 5 if want to move more .quickly.
He’s saying £15, as in money
@@kylepotter9162well he’s American so I don’t think he using pounds as currency….. the anvil he’s using is a 15lb cast iron anvil from harbor freight so I’m assuming he misspoke there.
It looks like a 1.5lb hammer. He’s probably reading from notes as he narrates. I’m sure Kyle is not purposefully stating something inaccurate. That’s not his style
I'd love to try one of your courses, I really want to learn how to make a Damascus blade.
Dude you blew my mind. Hi from Québec Canada 🇨🇦. Here that kind of snow is for kids😂❤️❤️🖤🖤
Omfg, I’ve never seen Damascus steel like that!!! That is insane! Want lol
8:25 your dad was looking at you like your an idiot lmao my dad gives me the same look sometimes
Fucken gorgeous mate
Brother, I know you wish I would say it was likeable, but I can't.... Fact is I love it, its a beautiful display of your skills, I wish I could afford one, EXCLUSIVE TO THE KING. I wish I had a place to even do this work , let alone, afford it. You and your family are blessed. Peace be on your house.
I’ve been watching your videos lately. You have to be the Picasso of forged weapons. I wish I could afford a hunting knife from you. Maybe one day. Love your work. It’s inspiring.
Blue
Worthless.
Where’s the new video!!!!!!!!
I’m really curious as to what the MS stands for on the engraving.
I hate beads, theyre rough and coarse and they get everywhere.
In general for polishing gemstones and semi gemstones, jewellers also often use Aluminum Oxide powder too. (just mix the powder with water untill it's a paste) Also very important to all watching and new at the process of stone cutting. a lot of mineral stones like lapis, or jade or anything like it, a lot of prescious stones belong to the Asbesthos family, so always wear protections around your face most of all, but also wear gloves to prevent cross contamination, and always cut with plentiful water to avoid heat buildup, but also to prevent the dust from flying all over the workplace because it is a nasty kind of dust :)
Umm... If you can't lift the billet, how are you going to wield the sword? 🤨
How much do you twist? Until it looks good? I always thought people did it while fully taut, and ran it until one end broke
Exquisite! 😲👍 🇦🇺
It’s May 13th and I’m (im)patiently waiting for the next Griffin sword video.
Your obsession with Star Wars is weird.
That's one tough gourd 👍
So no doubt these are extremely artistic pieces...absolutely stunning....but are they just that? Art? Or would they be able to stand up to being used as a working weapon?
that a sacrificial knife or something?
Do you know why real sword handles aren't round like that? You know your edge alignment by feel. You've made a sword that will have difficulty cutting straight by comparison. You made the video game mistake...
Yeah, because whoever buys this is definitely going to be cutting with it...
@@AdoreYouInAshXI A sword is useless if you can't swing it.
@@daveyjones8969 the handle is not circular. It can still be indexed for a cut; but you’d be a fool to cut with this. Go buy a 5160 long sword for $300 to cut your water bottles with. Not a 65k heirloom.
Make a similar looking small sword and name it Henderson next.
Can’t wait for a new Griffin sword update!
Excelsior is better than my Excalibur
Man of culture will understand the other meaning of these words
must be nice
Erhma gourd, heernd goourd
10 minutes in a forge will save you 10 hours at the grinder
When you have more dollars than sense. Beyond stupid at that price.
It's crazy how fast that 36 grit belt takes off steel.
Good gourd, that looks nice.
Nice guard, looking forward to the gourd you made!
How long did it tke
Hi
สวย งาม มาก ไม่มีที่ติ ขอสักเล่มได้ไหม
10:06 lol
What's with the price tag in some of your titles? Is that how much you actually charge for these pieces? Jesus. They're nice, but not *that* nice. I guess it's all subjective though since people are probably buying them.
Bro, he said the diamond alone was 10k, idk if that's true, but at least 5k for it would leave 11k for the knife and work done on it. 11k for three months work is not asking for much I think EDIT: misspelss
@@mohammedaminefarid8389 There is no way that's even close to being true. Most 3/4 carat black diamonds are around $300-$500 dude. I think you must be from another country, and are not familiar with the US dollar.
